The history of our house



Between 1980 and 1983, the parents, Karl and Maria Stich, built the foundation walls of the family business and today's hotel and restaurant, unter the theme "farm holidays".

This was built up of eight guest rooms, two tennis courts and a wine tavern, which became known as the "Tennisheuriger".

1980 - 1984 the son Alfred decided to serve an apprenticeship as a cook and waiter and gained four years of experience in the hotel "Am Parkring" in Vienna. After finalizing the apprenticeship, two years of work experience in Tirol and Vienna followed, til he finally did the license exam 1986.

The history of our house



Between 1980 and 1983, the parents, Karl and Maria Stich, built the foundation walls of the family business and today's hotel and restaurant, unter the theme "farm holidays".

This was built up of eight guest rooms, two tennis courts and a wine tavern, which became known as the "Tennisheuriger".

1980 - 1984 the son Alfred decided to serve an apprenticeship as a cook and waiter and gained four years of experience in the hotel "Am Parkring" in Vienna. After finalizing the apprenticeship, two years of work experience in Tirol and Vienna followed, til he finally did the license exam 1986.

In 1987 the family decided to celebrate the handover of the business and the change from a wine tavern to an restaurant with a party. The Austrian music star Falko accompanied this event, as a star guest and friend of the family.

The family business continued to grow with joy and enthusiasm. Still the same year, 1987, the family expanded the company by a construction project that lasts a year and built a further 25 rooms and enlarged the guest room.

In 1992, another 30 rooms, seminar rooms, a reception with an elevator and a brand new breakfast room were added.

Not only the company become bigger, the family also continued to grow happily: with the marriage of Alfred and Elisabeth in 1993 and the birth of their three children Alfred (1994), Doris (1996) and Petra (2004).

Alfred graduated the tourism school in Krems and was currently gaining experience in various hotels in Austria. Doris did an apprenticeship as a pharmacist in Korneuburg and the youngest daughter Petra attends middle school in Wolkersdorf.

Intending to expand the leisure- and relaxation options for the guests, the existing tennis courts were expanded in 1998, with bowling alleys and a "Kegelstüberl" in the basement. In 2004, a wellness area was added with sauna, solarium, steam bath, infrared cabins and much more. 4 family rooms have also been added to the offer.

Since then, all rooms have been equipped with LCD televisions and from now on, WLAN was available in the entire hotel and the restaurant area.

In 2018 we built our sunroom, which is very popular.

In order to adapt the comfort of the hotel to the wishes of their guests, the family continues to spare no expense or effort: in 2011 all the rooms in the hotel were renovated and brought up-to-date with the latest technology. Since then, all rooms have been equipped with LCD televisions and from now on, WLAN was available in the entire hotel and the restaurant area.
